Thank you for choosing Langwords as your language partner, we hope you are pleased with your purchase. After all, we are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. We invite you to read this policy before doing any business with us.
Definitions and Key Terms
To help explain things as clearly as possible in this Refund Policy, every time any of these terms are referenced, are strictly defined as:
Company: when this policy mentions “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”, it refers to Langwords that is responsible for your information under this Refund Policy.
Service(s): refers to the service(s) provided by Langwords as described in the relative terms (if available) and on this platform.
You: when this policy mentions “you” or “your”, it refers to the company, organization, person or entity that uses our Services.
Resource(s): refers to linguist(s), translator(s), transcriber(s), subtitler(s), freelancer(s) or any contractor(s) that work with Langwords.
By using our services, registering with us or making a purchase, you hereby consent to our Refund Policy and agree to all of its terms.
Once an order is placed, the invoice has been generated or you have paid the money, you can only request a refund or cancel the order if we have not assigned your order to a resource. Once your order is assigned to a resource, it can no longer be cancelled or refunded. However, you can always request a revision because we offer Lifetime Revision for every order. Kindly note that different pricing plans come with different revision times.
For certified translations, we are not responsible for assessing whether any particular organization, court, government, group, agency, municipality, business or other entity will accept our translations. We do not provide refunds for translations that are rejected by any such body. However, we can always revise your translation since Lifetime Revision is offered for every order. Revision times are subject to project details and pricing plans.
If you would like to have something revised when we are completing/after we have completed your order, you can contact us to do so only if the request is deemed reasonable on our end. Please be informed that it is at the sole discretion of the Company whether a revision request is reasonable.
For example, you placed a translation order with us where you wanted the below English sentence to be translated into French:
Target text (imagine this sentence is in French): My teacher purchased a new car yesterday.
“Purchased” (imagine it is in French) is synonymous with “bought” in English and the translator didn’t translate it wrongly. However, if you want the target text to use the exact equivalent of “bought” in French because it conveys a more casual tone than “purchased”, we can, of course, revise the translation for you. This service is completely free of charge!
But, if you want us to revise something new, which is not included in your original order, we will have to charge you for that. For example:
Updated source text (English): My teacher bought a new bicycle yesterday.
Although “car” and “bicycle” are both vehicles, they are two different things. The translator will have to translate this new word so this request will be taken as a new order, which will need to be paid, rather than a revision request.
Changes to Our Refund Policy
We should update, amend or make any changes to this policy so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies from time to time. Unless otherwise required by law, those changes will be posted here. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Refund Policy.
